Applications are welcomed from Indian nationals belonging to reserved classifications (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, employment OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, employment Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise participate in the mentor and research study activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Other info:

1. The pay carries all other allowances as admissible to a Central Civil servant stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, employment such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, kids education allowance, employment contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if real estate not supplied), research study initiation grant (up to Rs 25 lakhs with the arrangement to obtain a supplemental grant) and financial backing towards nationwide and worldwide conferences shall be allowed as per the Institute standards.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an additional top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- per month for the first 3 years of service to the recently joined professor. After 3 years of service, the professors member(s) are qualified for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for professors of age upto 40 years) supplying a top-up income of Rs.15,000/- monthly for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- per month for 3 years. Both the positions are provided based upon efficiency.

4. Traveling allowance for signing up with: The Institute will reimburse international travel costs for the newly signed up with faculty member and dependent relative to the maximum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel repayment will be according to federal government rules.
